This structure was designed as two houses, for two separate clients with two completely different briefs.

In profile, the two homes share an inter-tenancy wall and take on two major forms from the street.  The first form contains the single-story double garage.  The second sits over the garage and cantilevers out towards the street.

To achieve privacy and the intention of an industrial aesthetic the homes are clad in black cedar and concrete block with darkened powder-coated matte steel mesh louvers over the street facing façade.  The interiors include a black steel kitchen with concrete bench top, concrete and cedar walls softened by way of a bleached oak floor and soft furnishings.
